Hello! My name is Nathan (or Nate) and I come from England (my hometown is Nottingham, it's not so famous but maybe you know Robin Hood). I have been in Japan since December 2011 and trying to get better at speaking Japanese, but it sure is hard!!
I studied film at Kent university in Canterbury for 3 years, after which I did various jobs in the UK whilst studying Japanese . Right now I have an A-level in Japanese and the N2 of the JLPT.
Before coming to Japan I was a literacy volunteer for 2 years once a week at an infant school and taught Englsih voluntaruly once a week for 6 months for a language organization called SAVTE. After coming to Japan on a working holiday visa and doing various restaurant jobs (ski resort, sushi shop...) I tought English at NOVA for one year and then moved to GABA in September 2014 where I have been, and am now teaching.
I love music, and started learning to play the drums at RAD music school in January. It's been great fun, and hopefully we can have fun learning English together too! See ya!
Hello! I’m Brian from California, USA. I studied Contemporary Writing and Production and Jazz Performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. I have been visiting Japan during the summertime since I was born and started living here permanently since November of 2015.
I have been teaching English to Japanese students of all ages including kindergarteners, elementary school students, and adults since 2012, as well as helping my fellow Japanese college students who had trouble understanding lectures in English.
I am happy to help with anything for your English speaking needs!
Whether it's preparing for a test, wanting to understand the lyrics to a song, or just want to practice speaking, let’s have a great time learning together!
